VCJ/PGSAJ exam
Exam format valid beginning with the academic year 2011/12
The exam VCJ/PGSAJ, English exam for postgraduate students, is compulsory for PřF UP students of four-year postgraduate programmes. The exam may be taken any time during their studies, the first year included, depending on their language levels. The exam VCJ/PGSAJ is focused on 4 language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Its successful completion requires students to achieve B2 language level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in each part of the exam and each part of the exam is evaluated separately. If students fail any part of the exam, they will retake that particular part or parts only.
Students must register for the exam VCJ/PGSAJ in STAG. If you cannot see the dates, please contact your study assistant to insert VCJ/PGSAJ into STAG (tel.: 585 63 4012), however, then you must register for the exam by yourself.
Students are required to take the written part first (Reading, Writing, Listening), in STAG administered as a credit test. Once you pass the written part, you can register for the oral part of the exam, in STAG administered as the exam. You cannot take the written and the oral part of the exam in one day. To register for the oral part of the exam you have to hand in materials 2 weeks in advance and send them to pgsaj@seznam.cz.
